I am so lucky to finally consider myself happy. As I’ve been open about my past struggles with trauma, I find it appropriate to share with you all that I am now doing and feeling better than I can ever remember.
Lessons learned: Never give up hope. Seek help when you need it. Stay in touch with family and friends. Invest in your own wellbeing - both mentally and physically. Be kind to yourself and those around you.
At times I thought I would never really enjoy life again. Developing effective coping strategies and forcing yourself to think happy thoughts.. just works, at least for me.
I can’t wait to find out what’s next. Whatever it is, I’m ready!
